Edgar Chiu is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of SparkLabs Taiwan, a startup accelerator and venture capital fund founded by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs with a vision and mission to help founders go global. Prior to SparkLabs Taiwan, Edgar was the founding COO of Gogolook. There, he headed global partnerships for the Whoscall app, a global caller ID service, developing major partnerships in Japan, Korea, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. In 2013, Gogolook was subsequently acquired by NAVER, the South Korean Internet Giant.
Previously, Edgar worked at IBM as a management consultant strategizing new market entry plans and discovering emerging business opportunities for top clients in the Asia Pacific. He received IBM’s Value Role Model Award in 2011. Edgar is also the Co-founder of Jumpstart Global, a talent acceleration program with a charity fund behind, cultivating over 300 entrepreneurial leaders for fast-growing organizations since 2014. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Finance from National Tsing Hua University.
